Format Selection Guide
1. WebP (Best for the Web)
When to choose: When you need to upload images to a website, WordPress blog, or e-commerce store.
Why: It provides an excellent balance between small file size and high image quality, helping your website load faster and potentially improving its SEO performance.
2. AVIF (Next-Gen Format)
When to choose: When you want to further improve website speed and use more advanced image compression technology.
Why: AVIF can often produce smaller file sizes than WebP while maintaining good image quality. However, support may be limited on some older browsers and devices.
3. JPG / JPEG
When to choose: For social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, printing, or websites and apps that specifically require JPG/JPEG format.
Why: JPG/JPEG is one of the most widely supported image formats and works reliably across almost all devices, apps, and browsers.
4. PNG
When to choose: For logos, images with transparent backgrounds, screenshots, and graphics.
Why: PNG supports transparent backgrounds and preserves sharp details without loss of quality.
5. GIF
When to choose: For simple animations, memes, and short moving graphics.
Why: GIF supports animated images.
6. SVG
When to choose: For website icons, vector graphics, illustrations, and digital logos.
Why: SVG is a vector format that scales endlessly without blurriness.
